06/26/08 News Alert! Here at last is a "pretty good index" of the slides from Croftley road.  Clic the Pic and see! Like most of us, Liz is pretty busy these days. Unlike most of us "jump out of airplane" is now an item she can check off her To Do list.  (+) It helps to have an expert close by when trying something new. Here Liz plummets thru the big Texas sky safely attached to a veteran jumper. Oh, and yes, she landed in one piece. 02/03/08 After hours and hours of tests and calculations to determine what it's like to be inside a space suit, Liz finally gets to explore the subject on a personal level.  (+) Yes that's really Liz inside (head yet to emerge from the "neck dam"). According to Liz this is "Described as 'similar to giving birth' by larger members of the ABF".  (+) Head now through, Liz can remove the stocking cap worn to prevent pulling out one's hair while translating the neck dam. My guess is a bald astronaut would have a slight speed advantage when suiting up.  (+)Now for the helmet.  (+)Which looks rawther heavy!  (+)Ta Da !!
